5150II/6505+/6534+ Mods

The 5150II/6505+/6534+ has an adjustable bias but it doesn't allow the tubes to be biased as hot as some my want. I have a basic bias mod that will correct this. I also offer a bias mod with an external type bias monitor. The 5150II/6505+/6534+ has external test points that allow you to measure bias voltage. I can convert these jacks to measure tube current draw without the use of a bias probe. With this all you need is a voltmeter and a screwdriver to adjust and measure your bias.
One of the biggest complaints with the 5150II/6505+/6534+ is the lead channel lacks the tone of the original 5150's. I can convert the lead channel back to the original 5150 specs.

Lead/Rhythm mod brings the lead channel back to the original specs, add my Clarity mod to the lead channel, mod the rhythm channel for a warmer, thicker, more modded Marshall type crunch tone and an improved clean tone. A bigger, tighter bottom end and better low volume tones.

Bias mod with test points Gives you two bias test points to measure each pair of power tubes with an external bias pot.

Adjustable noise reduction circuit (lead channel) to get rid of a lot more of the hiss.

Solo Boost adds foot switchable solo boost level control for a volume boost.

3 Channel mod adds a third set of pre and post controls and foot switchable crunch for those looking to have 3 channels with the 5150.

IEC jack mod replaces the hardwired power cord of the 5150 with the IEC style power cord.

120 watt Metal mod Bone crushing metal tones. This mod includes the basic bias mod, lead/rhythm mod, custom output transformer, custom choke, and my own extra mods for amazing punch and dynamics.

60 watt Metal mod Bone crushing metal tones at a lower volume. It's still plenty loud! This mod includes the basic bias mod, lead/rhythm mod, custom output transformer, custom choke, and my own extra mods for amazing punch and dynamics.

60 watt Metal mod w/EL34 switching option Bone crushing metal tones at a lower volume. Switch between 2 EL34's or 2 6L6's for added tonal choices. It's still plenty loud! This mod includes the external bias pot mod with test points, lead/rhythm mod, custom output transformer, custom choke, and my own extra mods for amazing punch and dynamics. Added EL34/6L6 switching and bias probe test points.

Custom output transformer Installing a Custom output transformer gives the amp a tighter, more defined and articulate tone. It balances out the frequencies so the lows don't fall apart and get muddy and the highs aren't so harsh. It makes the amp more dynamic with a tighter feel. It improves the clarity and definition of what you're playing so everything isn't blurry.

Custom choke The Custom choke beefs up the power supply by improving the power supply filtering which help with noise levels, improves sustain, and helps the amp stay tight and punchy.

Tone shifts For the tone shift mod I am able to boost or cut either the highs, mids, or lows. I can also install two fixed positions for the mid sweep mod or install a compression switch. Multiple tones shifts can be installed for a wider range of tonal options. These can be installed on one or both channels.

Sweep mod Added pot that adjusts where the EQ circuit operates and allows you to dial in thicker low/mid tones or cutting high/mid tones. Can be installed on one or both channels.

All mods include a general check over, clean pots and jacks, clean and re-tension tube sockets, test tubes, and check bias
