VTM Mods

I offer many different mods for the VTM from simple gain boosts to extra gain stages and added channels. Tubes swaps (EL34, 6550, KT66, KT88), re-voicing, restoring, master volumes, preamp outs, half power mods, or basic maintenance. You name it, I do it. Custom Output Transformer

Installing a Custom output transformer gives the amp a tighter, more defined and articulate tone. It balances out the frequencies so the lows don't fall apart and get muddy and the highs aren't so harsh. It makes the amp more dynamic with a tighter feel. It improves the clarity and definition of what you're playing so everything isn't blurry. The Custom choke  beefs up the power supply by improving the power supply filtering which help with noise levels, improves sustain, and helps the amp stay tight and punchy.

Tone Shifts

For the tone shift mod I am able to boost or cut either the highs, mids, or lows. I can also install two fixed positions for the mid sweep mod or install a compression switch. Multiple tones shifts can be installed for a wider range of tonal options.

Replacement Head Box

I am building replacement head boxes for the VTM amps. These look like 5150 head boxes and weigh much less than the original VTM box. These are finger jointed birch cabinets that come complete with tolex, handle, and hardware. You just remove your VTM chassis and use your existing mounting screws.

VTM Mod Prices

All mods include a general check over, clean pots and jacks, clean and re-tension tube sockets, test caps, test tubes, and check bias.
